Data Sources and Methodology

Glade acquires publicly observable Amazon marketplace data through upstream providers and transforms it into a provider-neutral contract. Glade applies schema validation, normalization, bounded caching, and freshness metadata before returning data to customers.

Catalog facts, offers, availability, delivery, ranks, and reviews have different cache policies. Price and delivery can vary by location; each marketplace uses a documented deterministic default delivery context because the compatibility interface does not accept a postal code.

Sales and stock outputs are derived estimates, not reported transactions or guaranteed warehouse counts. Responses preserve a model or ruleset version, observation time, and bounded range where the contract supports it.

ASIN and GTIN inputs are validated before acquisition. Seller, reviewer, and author fields represent observable marketplace labels and must not be treated as verified legal identity.
